نَشَدتُكَ بِاللَهِ الَّذي حَولَ بَيتِهِ

نَشَدتُكَ بِاللَهِ الَّذي حَولَ بَيتِهِ

بِمَكَّةَ حَيٌّ مِن لُؤيِّ بِن غالِبِ

بِمَكَّةَ حَيٌّ مِن لُؤيِّ بِن غالِبِ

I adjure you by God, around whose House

I implore you by God who circumambulated His House

in Mecca dwells a clan of Lu’ayy ibn Ghalib.

In Mecca, alive is He from the progeny of Lu'ayy ibn Ghalib

فَإِنَّكَ قَد جَرَّبتَني فَوجَدتَني

فَإِنَّكَ قَد جَرَّبتَني فَوجَدتَني

أُعينُكَ في الدُنيا وَأَكفيكَ جانِبي

أُعينُكَ في الدُنيا وَأَكفيكَ جانِبي

For you have tested me and found me

For you have tested me and found

helping you in this world and sparing you harm from me.

That I help you in this life and guard your flank

وَإِن مَعشَرٌ دَبَّت إِلَيكَ عَداوَةً

وَإِن مَعشَرٌ دَبَّت إِلَيكَ عَداوَةً

عَقارِبُهُم دَبَّت إِلَيهم عَقارِبي

عَقارِبُهُم دَبَّت إِلَيهم عَقارِبي

And if a clan sends crawling toward you in enmity

And if a group comes to you with enmity

its scorpions, my scorpions crawl toward them.

My scorpions will go after their scorpions
