يا مُحْرقَ مُهْجتِي بِنَارِ الصَّدِّ

يا مُحْرقَ مُهْجتِي بِنَارِ الصَّدِّ

هَلْ عن خَطَأٍ قتلُكَ لِي أم عَمْدِ

هَلْ عن خَطَأٍ قتلُكَ لِي أم عَمْدِ

O you who burn my soul with the fire of rejection,

O you who burn my heart with rejection's fire

Is your killing of me accidental or deliberate?

Was it a mistake that caused your death, or intended?

إنْ كُنْتَ أَمِنْتَ من دَمِي طَالبَهُ

إنْ كُنْتَ أَمِنْتَ من دَمِي طَالبَهُ

فاللَّهُ مطَالِبٌ بِثَارِ العَبْدِ

فاللَّهُ مطَالِبٌ بِثَارِ العَبْدِ

If you think yourself safe from the avenger of my blood,

If you felt safe from my blood's avenger

then God demands vengeance for the servant.

Then Allah demands the servant's retribution
