Indeed, I marvel at my love, and at your making
I wonder at my passion and your making
forsaking me a habit, contrary to the usual rule.
My estrangement go against what's right and proper.
وكَأَنَّكُمْand as though you قُلتُمْyou said أَلاtake heed مَنْwhoever حَبَّنَاloves us

And it is as though you said, 'Take heed: whoever loves us,
It's as though you said, "Let whoever loves us
let him prepare a cloak against being forsaken by us.'
Prepare himself for our estrangement as proper."
