أَبكي وَأَستَغفِرُ اللَ

هَ فيكَ مِن ذَنبِ عاثِ

I weep and seek Allah's forgiveness

I weep and seek forgiveness from God

I weep and seek the forgiveness of God,

concerning you, for a wrongdoer's sin.

For the sins in me that abound

Regarding you, for the sin of a transgressor;

كَيفَ اِنبَعَثتَ لِمَوتٍ

كَيفَ اِنبَعَثتَ لِمَوتٍ

وَلَم أَكُن ذا اِنبِعاثِ

وَلَم أَكُن ذا اِنبِعاثِ

How did you set forth toward death,

How can I be resurrected from death

How were you sent forth toward death,

while I had not set forth?

When I have not yet been found

While I was not sent forth?
