وَصفdescription شواهٍunclear as written وَشَظاand a shinbone
وَصف شواهٍ وَشَظا
I send forth my gaze, leaving aside
I send my gaze wandering
I cast my glance, leaving aside
A description of [an unclear word] and a shinbone,
Leaving the describing of passions and fragments
The description of torn scalps and shards,
إِذsince عَزَّwas hard to attain ثَأرُvengeance مَنthe one whom ثَنىbent
إِذ عَزَّ ثَأرُ مَن ثَنى
كُلُّevery صَميمٍsteadfast man وَشَظاand shattered
كُلُّ صَميمٍ وَشَظا
Since vengeance was hard to attain for the one bent
When revenge was dear to the one who turned away
For mighty is the vengeance of him who bent
By every steadfast man, and shattered.
Every intimate and fragment
Every solid core and splinter.
