عَلَى أَهْلِ الْعَلاَءِ أَبِي عَلِيِّ

عَلَى أَهْلِ الْعَلاَءِ أَبِي عَلِيِّ

سَلاَمٌ مِنْ أَخِي سَلَمٍ صَفِيِّ

سَلاَمٌ مِنْ أَخِي سَلَمٍ صَفِيِّ

Upon Abu Ali, a man of eminence,

Peace from a sincere brother, Salim

Upon the master of eminence, Abu Ali,

be peace from a sincere brother of peace.

To the people of the highlands, my father Ali

A greeting of peace from a pure and peaceful brother,

يَوَدُّ دُنُوَّهُ مِنْ كُلِّ خَيْرٍ

يَوَدُّ دُنُوَّهُ مِنْ كُلِّ خَيْرٍ

وَيَهْوَى بُعْدَهُ مِنْ كُلِّ غَيِّ

وَيَهْوَى بُعْدَهُ مِنْ كُلِّ غَيِّ

He wishes him near to all that is good,

He wishes to be near all that is good

Who wishes him nearness to every good,

and desires him far from every error.

And far from all that is alien

And desires his distance from every transgression,

وَيُبْهِجُهُ التَّهَانِي بِالأَمَانِي

وَيُبْهِجُهُ التَّهَانِي بِالأَمَانِي

وَإِبْقَاءُ الْغَلِيِّ عَلَى الْوَلِيِّ

وَإِبْقَاءُ الْغَلِيِّ عَلَى الْوَلِيِّ

And felicitations with good wishes gladden him,

Joyous greetings and good wishes

Delighted by felicitations upon fulfilled hopes,

as does preserving the dear one for his friend.

And loyalty to the guardian remains

And by the preservation of what is precious for the loyal friend.
