The sea of glories overflows
The sea of glories has stilled
The sea of glories is overflowing
In the tomb of ʿAbd al-Salām,
In the grave of Abdelsalam
Within the tomb of Abd al-Salam,
شَمْسِsun of الْهُدَىthe guidance ابْنِson of مَشِيشٍMashīsh
مَنَwho جَلَّis exalted عَنْbeyond كُلِّevery دَامِfault
The sun of guidance, Ibn Mashīsh,
The sun of guidance, son of Mashish
The sun of guidance, Ibn Mashish,
Who is exalted beyond every fault.
He who transcended all bonds
He who transcends every blemish,
مَنْwhom قََطَعْنَاwe crossed إِلَيْهِtoward him
شُمَّlofty الرُّبَىthe hills وَالأَكَامِand the knolls
He toward whom we journeyed across
To whom we raced
Towards whom we have traversed
The lofty hills and knolls.
Through plains and mountains
The towering heights and rolling hills,
لَكَمْindeed, how often تَنَالُyou gain جُوَاراًrefuge

How often you gain refuge
How you will find refuge
How great a sanctuary you will attain
From him in the Abode of Peace.
With him in the Abode of Peace
Beside him in the Abode of Peace!
