فَلَقَدْ جَاءَنَا زَمَانُ النُّوَارِ
Solace me, you two, with stirring verse,
Grace me with the songster of poems
Soothe me, my two companions, with enchanting poems,
for the season of blossoms has indeed come to us.
For the era of splendor has come upon us
For the season of blossoms has come to us,
وَامْزِجَاهُand you two, blend it بِغُنَّةٍwith a nasal tone تُنْعِشُrevives الْفِكْthe mind (first part)
وَامْزِجَاهُ بِغُنَّةٍ تُنْعِشُ الْفِكْ

رَ فُدِيتُمْ مِنْ سَائِرِ الأَغْيَارِ
And blend it with a resonant hum that revives
And blend it with a melody that revives the soul
And blend it with a melody that revives the mind—
the mind—may all others be your ransom.
I ransomed you from all strangers
May my life be your ransom from all strangers.

Amid roses, irises, and daisies,
Among roses, lilies, thorns
Amidst roses, lilies, and chamomiles,
and anemones, narcissi, and oxeyes,
And anemones, narcissi, and spring flowers
And anemones, narcissus, and spring blooms.
نَغْتَنِمُwe seize بُرْهَةًa brief spell صَفَاءَthe serenity of لَيَالٍnights
نَغْتَنِمُ بُرْهَةً صَفَاءَ لَيَالٍ

عَنْ قَرِيبٍ نَمْضِي إِلَى غَفَّارِ
we seize a brief spell of the nights' serenity;
We seize a moment of clear nights’ serenity
Let us seize a brief moment of the nights' serenity,
soon we shall depart to the Oft-Forgiving.
Soon we will pass on to the Forgiving
For soon we shall depart to the All-Forgiving.
