O you in whom the thirsty find their thirst quenched,

And whose eminence is adornment for the world,

And who unveiled the radiance of the sun of meanings,

And through whom the light of the expanse shines clear:

Your lover, whose passion you have guided,

    As Mayy guided Ghaylan's passion,

Has been driven by his need to one

Who dies bearing witness, though he is alive.
