يَالَيْلَةً طَرِبَتْ بِهَا الأَرْواحُ

يَالَيْلَةً طَرِبَتْ بِهَا الأَرْواحُ

وَبِنَشْرِهَا قد طابَتِ الأَرْواحُ

وَبِنَشْرِهَا قد طابَتِ الأَرْواحُ

O night in which souls rejoiced,

The spirits were delighted on a night

O night in which the souls were filled with rapture!

and through whose fragrance the breezes grew sweet!

When it was published, the spirits thrived

And by its spreading fragrance, the gentle breezes grew sweet.

لاَحَتْ بِهَا الأَنْوارُ وَاضِحَةَ السَّنَا

لاَحَتْ بِهَا الأَنْوارُ وَاضِحَةَ السَّنَا

فَغَدَتْ بِهَا ظُلَمُ الأَسَى تَنْزَاحُ

فَغَدَتْ بِهَا ظُلَمُ الأَسَى تَنْزَاحُ

Lights shone within it, their radiance clear,

The lights shone clearly with its youth

Within it, lights shone forth with clear brilliance,

so within it sorrow’s darkness began to recede.

So the darkness of sorrow faded away

Causing the shadows of sorrow to vanish away.

قدْ عَمَّهَا نُورُ النَّبِيِّ مُحَمَّدٍ

قدْ عَمَّهَا نُورُ النَّبِيِّ مُحَمَّدٍ

فَبِنورِهِ هِيَ كُلُّها إصْبَاحُ

فَبِنورِهِ هِيَ كُلُّها إصْبَاحُ

Indeed, the light of the Prophet Muhammad pervaded it,

The light of Prophet Muhammad has spread

The light of the Prophet Muhammad pervaded it completely,

so through his light, it is dawn throughout.

With his light, it was all illuminated

So through his light, it turned entirely into dawn.

صَلَّى عليهِ اللهُ مَا أَهْدَتْ لَنَا

صَلَّى عليهِ اللهُ مَا أَهْدَتْ لَنَا

أَيَّامُ مَوْلِدهِ سَناً يَلْتَاحُ

أَيَّامُ مَوْلِدهِ سَناً يَلْتَاحُ

May God bless him, so long as there is bestowed upon us

May God send blessings on him as long as

May Allah bestow blessings upon him, as long as we are gifted,

by the days of his birth a radiance that gleams.

The days of his birth bring us years of serenity

By the days of his birth, with a brilliance that vividly gleams.
