إِنِّي سَأَلْتُكَ بِخَيْرِ مُرْسَلِ

إِنِّي سَأَلْتُكَ بِخَيْرِ مُرْسَلِ

مُحَمَّدٍ نَبِيِّكَ الْمُكَمَّلِ

مُحَمَّدٍ نَبِيِّكَ الْمُكَمَّلِ

Indeed, I have implored You by the best of messengers,

I asked You by the virtue of the noble messenger

Indeed, I have beseeched You by the best of messengers,

Muhammad, Your perfected prophet.

Muhammad, Your perfected Prophet,

صَلِّ عَلَيْهِ يَا إِلَهَنَا الْعَلِي

صَلِّ عَلَيْهِ يَا إِلَهَنَا الْعَلِي

وَآلِهِ وَصَحْبِهِ وَمَنْ يَلِي

وَآلِهِ وَصَحْبِهِ وَمَنْ يَلِي

Bless him, O our God, the Most High,

Bless him, O our Lofty God,

Bestow blessings upon him, O our Most High God,

And his family, his companions, and those who follow.

and his family, companions, and those who follow

And upon his family, his companions, and those who follow,

وَلَمْ أُفَارِقْ حِلْيَةَ التَّذَلُّلِ

وَلَمْ أُفَارِقْ حِلْيَةَ التَّذَلُّلِ

إِلاَّ خَصَصْتَنِي بِفَضْلٍ مُجْزِلِ

إِلاَّ خَصَصْتَنِي بِفَضْلٍ مُجْزِلِ

And I never laid aside the adornment of humility

And I did not abandon the adornment of humility

And I have never parted with the adornment of humility,

Without Your singling me out for lavish grace.

Except You singled me out with abundant grace

Without You singling me out with abundant grace,

وَحُطْتَ عِرْضِيَ بِسِتْرٍ مُسْبَلِ

وَحُطْتَ عِرْضِيَ بِسِتْرٍ مُسْبَلِ

وَكُنْتَ لِي يَا مَوْئِلِي نِعْمَ الْوَلِي

وَكُنْتَ لِي يَا مَوْئِلِي نِعْمَ الْوَلِي

And You guarded my honor with a veil drawn down,

And veiled my honor with a trailing cover

And You have guarded my honor with a drawn veil,

And You were to me, O my refuge, an excellent protector,

You were for me, O my refuge, the best guardian

And You have been to me, O my refuge, the finest of guardians,

فيِ مَذْهَبِي وَمَخْرَجِي وَمَدْخَلِي

فيِ مَذْهَبِي وَمَخْرَجِي وَمَدْخَلِي

وَكُلِّ مَا عَلَيَّ مِنْ أَمْرٍ وَلِي

وَكُلِّ مَا عَلَيَّ مِنْ أَمْرٍ وَلِي

In my course, my departure, and my entry,

In my creed, my fate, and my destination

In my path, my exit, and my entrance,

And in every affair incumbent upon me and belonging to me.

And all matters that have been placed in my charge

And in every matter that falls upon me.
