If her hand emerges with delicate grace,
Crying out, the Vizier comes to her aid,
Burning away her veils and bringing her forth,
Dazzling, while clarity sings of her.
Through her, he revives the lifeless joy of his seeker,
For her sake, since he possesses her finest essence.
And in his hand lies the key to her lock,
And in his presence she is born anew.
As though the close companion hears through her:
"Welcome to an abode whose tender beauty has captivated you."
For Omar—who is a moon to the heights of glory—
Is the finest of our lineage and its master.
And Omar—who alone is a host of men—
Their utmost efforts fall short of his strides.
And Omar—who is the blossom of intellect—
The fragrance of his virtues confirms it.
And Omar—who is a river of generosity—
We seek his watering place and bring others to drink.
And Omar—who is a constellation of radiant stars—
By which we travel at night for guidance and seek our way.
May he remain ever thus, and our prayers are for him,
For the sake of a family whose glory stems from him.
So whoever caused its joy to die, Abu
Yahya the Exalted makes its playfulness live on.
