لاَ تَخَفْ أَنْ يَنْقُضَ الذَّنْ

لاَ تَخَفْ أَنْ يَنْقُضَ الذَّنْ

بُ الذِي بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكْ

بُ الذِي بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكْ

Do not fear that sin will undo

Do not fear that sin which lies between you and I will undo

Do not fear that the sin will sever

what lies between me and you.

For that which lies between you and I, if it appeared, would please your eye

what exists between me and you.

إِنَّ مَا بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكَْ

إِنَّ مَا بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكَْ

لَوْ بَدَا أَعْجَبَ عَيْنَكْ

لَوْ بَدَا أَعْجَبَ عَيْنَكْ

Indeed, what lies between me and you,

And reveal to it that which makes clear, between people, your beauty

For indeed, what is between me and you,

were it revealed, would delight your eye;

Draw near in affection towards us

if it appeared, would amaze your eye,

وَرَأَتْ مِنْهُ الذِي يُو

وَرَأَتْ مِنْهُ الذِي يُو

ضِحُ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ زَيْنَكْ

ضِحُ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ زَيْنَكْ

and your eye would see in it what reveals

As the Merciful has drawn you near

And it would see within it that which makes

your beauty among people.

And brush away from it motives

your grace evident among the people.

قَرِّبَنْ وُدَّكَ مِنَّا

قَرِّبَنْ وُدَّكَ مِنَّا

قَرَّبَ الرَّحْمَانُ بَيْنَكْ

قَرَّبَ الرَّحْمَانُ بَيْنَكْ

Do bring your affection close to us;

That God may brush away your shame

Draw your affection closer to us,

may the All-Merciful close the distance for you.

may the Merciful draw your distance near.

وَأَمِطْ عَنْهُ الدَّوَاعِي

وَأَمِطْ عَنْهُ الدَّوَاعِي

لِيُمِيطَ اللهُ شَيْنَكْ

لِيُمِيطَ اللهُ شَيْنَكْ

And strip it of motives,

And remove from it all selfish motives,

so that God may remove your blemish.

so that Allah may remove your blemish.
