لاَ تَطْرُدُوا آمَالَهُ عَنْ مَوْرِدٍ

لاَ تَطْرُدُوا آمَالَهُ عَنْ مَوْرِدٍ

بِحِمَاكُمُ يَجْرِي بِسَيْبِ اللهِ

بِحِمَاكُمُ يَجْرِي بِسَيْبِ اللهِ

Do not drive his hopes away from a watering place

Do not drive his hopes away from a spring

Flowing within your sanctuary with God's bounty.

Flowing within your sanctuary by the bounty of God;

جَاءَتْهُ مُوقَدَةَ الْجَوَانِحِ مِنْ صَدىً

جَاءَتْهُ مُوقَدَةَ الْجَوَانِحِ مِنْ صَدىً

لِزُلاَلِهِ الْمُفْنِي لَهْوَ الَّلاهِي

لِزُلاَلِهِ الْمُفْنِي لَهْوَ الَّلاهِي

They came to it, their breasts aflame with thirst

They came to it, their ribs ablaze with searing thirst,

For its limpid water, which ends the heedless one's diversion.

For its pure waters that extinguish the distractions of the heedless.
