قالوا اشتكتْ عينُه فقلتُ لهم

حُمرتُها من دماءِ من قَتَّلَتْ

حُمرتُها من دماءِ من قَتَّلَتْ

والدمُ في النَّصلِ شاهدٌ عَجَبُ

والدمُ في النَّصلِ شاهدٌ عَجَبُ

Its redness comes from the blood of those it has slaughtered;

It has turned red from the blood of those he killed,

And blood on the blade is a wondrous witness.

And blood on the sword is a wondrous witness.
