يا ربِّ لا تبعثْ بغيثٍ عَيْثا

فإنه إن حَثَّ غيثٌ غيثا

فإنه إن حَثَّ غيثٌ غيثا

O Lord, do not send havoc with rain;

Oh Lord, send not a vicious storm

For indeed, if one shower spurs on another,

For if a storm should fiercely form

عادت لَبونُ المُمْطراتِ لَيثا

عادت لَبونُ المُمْطراتِ لَيثا

وأنتَ أهدَى عَجَلاً ورَيْثا

وأنتَ أهدَى عَجَلاً ورَيْثا

The rainclouds’ milch camel turns into a lion.

The rain would act a rabid beast

And You know best when to hasten and when to delay.

While You guide best at man or beast
