Join to the beauty of your handsome face

your conduct, and look with a discerning eye.

You will see the fairest of sights, paired

with the least of your good deeds.

You have wearied me, and hardship is the gravest thing

that mars acts of kindness and favors.

So help or withhold, and do not be a man

whose promise is an ordeal among ordeals.

Otherwise I shall return your loan and

reproach together to you, on a single halter.

And may God never see me owned

by anyone like this, without a price.
