O you who go to such extremes in opposing me:

With sweat dripping in my desperation, o inciter

تسيء بي حين لا أجزيك سيئة

والعود يجزيك تدخيناً بإحراق

You wrong me when I repay you with no wrong,

Yet the wood repays your burning with smoke.

Yet the incense rewards you with smoke from the fire
