رعايةُ حقِّنا حقٌ عليْكا

رعايةُ حقِّنا حقٌ عليْكا

لما نعتدُّ من مَيْلٍ إليكا

لما نعتدُّ من مَيْلٍ إليكا

Honoring our right is a duty upon you,

Our care for your rights is your right upon us

for the affection toward you that we value.

Since we are inclined towards you

ونَصْرُك باسِطُ النُّعمى علينا

ونَصْرُك باسِطُ النُّعمى علينا

نهايةُ ما نُؤَمِّلُهُ لديكا

نهايةُ ما نُؤَمِّلُهُ لديكا

And your support for the one who bestows bounty upon us

And your victory has bestowed favors upon us

is the utmost we hope for from you.

It is the end of what we hope for from you

فدُونَك من مَوَدَّتِهِ نصيباً

فدُونَك من مَوَدَّتِهِ نصيباً

رِغيباً قد ملأتَ به يديكا

رِغيباً قد ملأتَ به يديكا

So take a share of his affection—

So from your affection is a share for us

an ample share with which you have filled both your hands.

An incentive you have filled your hands with

أباالعباسِ لا تُغْلَبْ عليه

أباالعباسِ لا تُغْلَبْ عليه

فقد أضْحَى ولم يُغْلَبْ عليكا

فقد أضْحَى ولم يُغْلَبْ عليكا

Abu al-Abbas, let no one wrest him from you,

O Abu Al-Abbas do not be overcome by it

for now no one has wrested you from him.

For it has become and was not overcome upon you

متى راعيتَه من جانبيه

متى راعيتَه من جانبيه

رعاك بعينه من جانبيكا

رعاك بعينه من جانبيكا

Whenever you watch over him on both his sides,

Whenever you took care of it from both sides

he will watch over you with his eye on both your sides.

It took care of you from both your sides

ولم تعدم به سيفاً ودرعاً

ولم تعدم به سيفاً ودرعاً

كهمّك عُدَّةً في حالتيكا

كهمّك عُدَّةً في حالتيكا

And through him you will lack neither sword nor shield,

And you did not lack with it a sword and shield

a resource matching your resolve in both your states.

Like your determination supplies you during your states

ومثلك لا يُدَل على رشادٍ

ومثلك لا يُدَل على رشادٍ

كفاك بلمحةٍ من ناظريكا

كفاك بلمحةٍ من ناظريكا

And one like you needs no guidance toward sound judgment;

And the like of you is not misguided to right guidance

a glance from your two eyes suffices you.

Your glance suffices with a hint from your eyes

أبا العباس قد أسديت فعلاً

أبا العباس قد أسديت فعلاً

وصلتَ به إخاء مُؤاخِيَيْكا

وصلتَ به إخاء مُؤاخِيَيْكا

Abu al-Abbas, you have performed a deed

O Abu Al-Abbas you have acted well

by which you bound your two friends in brotherhood.

And connected with it the brotherhood of your brothers

وفيه فرصةٌ لك فانتهزْها

وفيه فرصةٌ لك فانتهزْها

فإن اللَّه يكبتُ حاسديكا

فإن اللَّه يكبتُ حاسديكا

And in it lies an opportunity for you, so seize it,

And in it is an opportunity for you so seize it

for God will humble those who envy you.

For God will suppress your enviers
