ولا رُشدَ إلا بتوفيقِهِ

ولا رُشدَ إلا بتوفيقِهِ

وإن محَضَ الرأيَ من يمحضُ

وإن محَضَ الرأيَ من يمحضُ

And there is no right guidance except through His enabling grace,

even if the adviser offers sincere counsel.

ومن ذا يُدَبِّرنا غيرُهُ

ومن ذا يُدَبِّرنا غيرُهُ

ومن يُبرمُ الأمرَ أو ينقضُ

ومن يُبرمُ الأمرَ أو ينقضُ

And who directs us other than He?

And who settles the matter or undoes it?

تبارك مَنْ لمْ يزل نورُهُ

تبارك مَنْ لمْ يزل نورُهُ

يزيدُ بياناً ولا يغْمضُ

يزيدُ بياناً ولا يغْمضُ

Blessed is He whose light has never ceased

to grow in clarity, and never becomes obscure.
