وصافيةٍ ما بها من قذى

وصافيةٍ ما بها من قذى

لها نفحاتٌ تذود الشَّذا

لها نفحاتٌ تذود الشَّذا

And a clear wine, free of any speck of impurity,

Pure, without any impurity

With fragrant wafts that drive the gnats away.

It has fragrances that ward off weariness

تُميت الهمومَ وتحيي السرور

تُميت الهمومَ وتحيي السرور

وتشفي السقام وتنفي الأذى

وتشفي السقام وتنفي الأذى

It kills cares and brings joy to life,

It kills worries and brings joy

And heals sickness and banishes harm.

Heals illness and removes harm

كأن الأمانيَّ مَثَّلنها

كأن الأمانيَّ مَثَّلنها

فقال لها الله كوني كذا

فقال لها الله كوني كذا

As though wishes had pictured it,

As if hopes had personified it

And God had said to it, "Be thus."

So God said to it, be like this

تغادر عينَك مطروفة

تغادر عينَك مطروفة

وأذْنك حمراء فيها خَذا

وأذْنك حمراء فيها خَذا

It leaves your eye as though struck,

It leaves your eyes alluring

And your ear red and drooping.

And your ear blushing within it
