  6. فهي تحتال للزنا

    ءِ واحتيال الجَرابزه

    So she schemes for illicit

    sex—and with the cunning of crafty rogues.

  7. وتراها من الوِدا

    ق على العود راهِزه

    And you see her, from sexual

    heat, thrusting upon the lute.

  8. ذاتُ صوت كأنهُ

    صوت بعض الجلاوزه

    She has a voice as though it were

    the voice of one of the constables.

  9. إن عيناً تغيب عن

    ها وعنه لفَائزه

    Surely an eye that stays away from

    her and that voice is fortunate indeed.

  10. قلت لما ترنمت

    سكتةٌ منك جائزه

    I said, when she broke into song:

    "A moment's silence from you is a gift."

  11. قاتل اللَه بردها

    والحتوفُ المناجزه

    May God smite her coldness,

    and may swift-striking deaths do likewise!
