يمينُك الغيثُ إلا أنه هطِلُ

يمينُك الغيثُ إلا أنه هطِلُ

وخُلقُك الزُّهْرُ إلا أنه خضِلُ

وخُلقُك الزُّهْرُ إلا أنه خضِلُ

Your right hand is rain, save that it pours in torrents.

Your right hand is rain, except it has poured down

And your character is blossom, save that it is dewy.

And your nature is a flower, except it has withered

والناسُ وأنت وما في الحقّ من حرَج

والناسُ وأنت وما في الحقّ من حرَج

ومَنْ عداكَ فلا سهلٌ ولا جبلُ

ومَنْ عداكَ فلا سهلٌ ولا جبلُ

And you are mankind—there is no fault in the truth—

And people and you, there is no embarrassment in truth

And whoever is other than you is neither plain nor mountain.

And whoever is unlike you, there is no easy or hard

يا أيها الحافظُ الميمونُ طائرُه

يا أيها الحافظُ الميمونُ طائرُه

عجّلْ عليّ فخيرُ النائِلِ العَجِلُ

عجّلْ عليّ فخيرُ النائِلِ العَجِلُ

O al-Hafiz, whose omen is auspicious,

O you, the blessed protector, good omened is his bird

Hasten your bounty to me, for the best gift is the prompt one.

Hasten to me, for the swiftest of seekers is the best

لا زلتَ في نعمةٍ يشْجى الحسودُ بها

لا زلتَ في نعمةٍ يشْجى الحسودُ بها

ما لاح نجمٌ بليلٍ أو بدا ظلَلُ

ما لاح نجمٌ بليلٍ أو بدا ظلَلُ

May you ever remain in prosperity that grieves the envious,

You remain in bounty, which the envious are saddened by

As long as a star gleams by night or canopies of cloud appear.

As long as a star shines at night or shadows appear at dawn
