ناضرٌ والجبينُ شمسُ نهارِ
May my father be ransom for him on whose cheeks a rose blooms,
By the one whose cheek is adorned with a blossoming rose
Fresh, while his brow is the daytime sun.
Flourishing, while his brow is the sun of daytime

He kept beauty from fearing “tails” [possibly intended: wilting],
Beauty is unafraid of slander
While it has remained beneath the shade of his cheek-down.
While it remains under the shade of chastity

I, from my weeping eyes, from the heat of my longing,
I am, from my tears of passion and ardent love
Am melting between water and fire.
Flowing between water and fire

Do you think my body will remain
When even hard iron flows molten because of them?
When the piercing iron runs through it
