إن ابْنَ عَدْلانَ حاز بفطنته

إن ابْنَ عَدْلانَ حاز بفطنته

وِرِّثها عن دماغِ عَدْلانِهْ

وِرِّثها عن دماغِ عَدْلانِهْ

Indeed, Ibn ʿAdlān gained through his cleverness,

The son of Adlan attained his wit

which he inherited from his ʿAdlān’s brain.

And inherited it from the brain of his ancestor

فإنْ تشكَّكْتَ في الحديث إذاً

فإنْ تشكَّكْتَ في الحديث إذاً

فانظُر إلى ليّها بأسنانِه

فانظُر إلى ليّها بأسنانِه
