كم من فتاةٍ تولّى أمرَها ذَكَرٌ

كم من فتاةٍ تولّى أمرَها ذَكَرٌ

ما كان أحوجَهُ منها الى الذكَرِ

ما كان أحوجَهُ منها الى الذكَرِ

How many a maiden has had a man take charge of her—

How many a girl whose affairs a male took charge of

how much more he needed a penis than she did!

When he was in no need of her for his reminder

يرومُ أن يُنفِذَ القوّاسُ أسهُمَهُ

يرومُ أن يُنفِذَ القوّاسُ أسهُمَهُ

وكيف ينفَذُ عن قوسٍ بلا وتَرِ

وكيف ينفَذُ عن قوسٍ بلا وتَرِ

The archer seeks to send his arrows flying,

The archer intends to shoot his arrows

and how can one fly from a bow without a bowstring?

Yet how can he shoot when his bow has no string?
