وأشعثَand a disheveled man مثلُlike أهلِthe dwellers of النارِHell ثاوٍabiding
بأخضرَby green waters كلُّevery شطٍّshore منهُof it جَنّهْa paradise
And a disheveled man, like the dwellers of Hell, abides
With disheveled hair like the people of Hell athirst,
by green waters, each shore of which is a paradise.
Every green shore of his has its own paradise,
علىon يُمناهُhis right hand أحداقٌeyes صغارٌsmall
ترامىsplashed away الماءُthe water عنهاaway from them قدalready أجنّهْdrove him mad
On his right hand are little eyes;
On his right hand are slender bushes
the water splashes away from them, having driven him mad.
From which water pours as if from a fountain.
فيُرسلُهاso he casts it إليهtoward it وهيwhile it is درعٌa coat of mail
وتأتيهِand it comes to him وقدand already مُلئتْhas been filled أسنّهْwith spearheads
So he casts it toward the water, a coat of mail,
He sends them to it, and it is a breastplate,
and it returns to him, filled with spearheads.
And it comes to him having filled up its vessels.
