ما انقطع المملوك عن ترداده

ما انقطع المملوك عن ترداده

وأنت تدري أن ذاك ممتنع

وأنت تدري أن ذاك ممتنع

Your servant has not ceased his repeated visits,

The slave does not cease his supplication,

and you know that such a thing is impossible.

And you know well that this is implausible,

فالحمد لله على علمك يا

فالحمد لله على علمك يا

مولايَ إني بشرٌ لا ينقطع

مولايَ إني بشرٌ لا ينقطع

So praise be to God for your knowledge, O

So praise be to God for your knowledge, my Master,

my lord! I am a human being who never stays away.

I am but a human, never ceasing.
