من كلن من هفواته متنصِّلاً
فيat بابِthe gate of عزّكمُyour glory فماso not أتنصَّلI disavow
في بابِ عزّكمُ فما أتنصَّل
Whoever may disavow his lapses,
I come to you, replete with my transgressions,
at the gate of your glory, I do not disavow mine.
Seeking at your door from which I cannot tear.
أظهرتI revealed إذwhen أذنبتI sinned فضلthe excellence of حلومكمyour forbearance
أظهرت إذ أذنبت فضل حلومكم
فأناso I am أمرؤa man بذنوبِهِthrough his sins يتوسَّلpleads
فأنا أمرؤ بذنوبِهِ يتوسَّل
When I sinned, I revealed the excellence of your forbearance;
When I sinned, your graciousness was manifested;
so I am a man who pleads through his sins.
So I, a man of sins, to you makes his prayer.
