منwho لصبّfor a lovesick man أدنىbrought near البعادseparation وفاتهhis death
من لصبّ أدنى البعاد وفاته
مذْsince عداهpassed him by وصلunion الحبيبthe beloved وفاتهand eluded him
مذْ عداه وصل الحبيب وفاته
Who will aid a lovesick man whose death separation has brought near,
since union with the beloved passed him by and eluded him?
