  1. سال العذار بعنبرٍ متأرّج

    وأتت محاسنُ وجهه في عسكر

    The down along his cheeks flowed with fragrant ambergris.

    And the beauties of his face came in an army.

  2. يا عاشقين يجادلون وُشاتهم

    فتقت لكم ريح الجلاد بعنبر

    O lovers who dispute with their slanderers,

    The breeze of combat has been perfumed for you with ambergris.
