The cup is in the palm of a tender maiden.
The cup in Gada's graceful hand
Rise, O brother of ascetic devotion; you are not cast out.
Arise, O brother of abstinence, you are not dismissed

A beauty urges its drinking with song,
She urges it with the singing of a singer
Giving voice in it to David's melody.

If you wish like a bending branch
Or, if you wish, like a bird with a trilling song.

The full moon near her is not counted

My songs praise my lords.
