1. مشاهد القدس حيى

    حماك صوبُ الغمامهْ

    Shrines of Jerusalem, may a greeting come

    to your precinct from the raincloud's downpour,

  2. حتَّى أراني من مص

    ر قد فتحت قمامهْ

    until I find myself, from Egyp-

    -t, having opened Qumamah.

  3. قامت قيامة قوم

    رأوا لقدري علامهْ

    An uproar arose among some people

    who saw a sign of my standing.

  4. وظيفة قيل ما ذي

    فقلت قول السلامهْ

    A post—“What is this?” it was asked.

    So I gave a cautious reply:

  5. قيامة عند قوم

    وعند قوم قيامهْ

    Doomsday for some,

    and for others, Resurrection.
