أمطْ بالدَّواء ثياب الأذى

أمطْ بالدَّواء ثياب الأذى

وطبْ في الرواح به والغدوّ

Remove with medicine the garments of affliction.

Drench the clothes of harm with medicine

And be well through it, in the evening and the morning.

And heal in souls thereby, and in the mornings

وكرّر أحاديث بيت الخلا

وكرّر أحاديث بيت الخلا

ولكن على رغم أنف العدوّ

ولكن على رغم أنف العدوّ

And repeat the tales of the privy,

And repeat the talks of the house of union

But in spite of the enemy’s nose.
