يا سيدي يا فلان الدين لا برحت

سوائم القصد ترعى تحت ظلكم

سوائم القصد ترعى تحت ظلكم

O my lord, O Fulan al-Din, may there always be

O my master, O So-and-so of the religion, I have not moved

herds of aspiration grazing beneath your shade.

The she-camels of purpose graze in your shade

كانت أياديكمُ قدماً تواصلنا

كانت أياديكمُ قدماً تواصلنا

والآن أحوج ما كنا لوصلكم

والآن أحوج ما كنا لوصلكم

Your favors used to reach us in days past,

Your hands were what connected us before

and now we need your favor more than ever.

And now we need your connection more than ever
