وزيرَ الملكِ دمتَ لنا ملاذاً

مديد الظلّ مبسوطَ السعاده

مديد الظلّ مبسوطَ السعاده

O minister of the king, may you remain a refuge for us,

With far-reaching shade and good fortune spread wide.

عوائد جاهه وعطاه تأتي

عوائد جاهه وعطاه تأتي

فيا لكِ صبحةً تأتي وعادَه

فيا لكِ صبحةً تأتي وعادَه

The customary favors of his influence and bounty come;

So, what a morning visit you are, arriving—and what a custom!

ويا لكِ عادةً من بيت جودِ

ويا لكِ عادةً من بيت جودِ

ومنا في مدائحهم شهاده

ومنا في مدائحهم شهاده

And what a custom you are, from a house of generosity,

And from us comes testimony in their praise.

إذا سفراً قصدنا أو مقاماً

إذا سفراً قصدنا أو مقاماً

فإنَّ قِرَى الفتى منه وزاده

فإنَّ قِرَى الفتى منه وزاده

When we intend to travel or to stay,

For the young man's hospitality and provisions come from him.

فيا فخرَ الوزارةِ يا ختاماً

فيا فخرَ الوزارةِ يا ختاماً

لها يا ذا المحاسن والإفاده

لها يا ذا المحاسن والإفاده

So, O pride of the ministry, O crowning seal

For it, O possessor of virtues and beneficence!

فهذا البيت جامعُ عين برٍّ

فهذا البيت جامعُ عين برٍّ

وبابُ صِلاته بابُ الزِّياده

وبابُ صِلاته بابُ الزِّياده

For this house gathers the very essence of benevolence,

And the gate of its gifts is the gate of increase.

بقيتَ لعادة في الجودِ منكم

بقيتَ لعادة في الجودِ منكم

ومنّا في مدائحكم شهاده

ومنّا في مدائحكم شهاده

May you live on to sustain your custom of generosity,

And from us comes testimony in your praise.
