مولايَ أرجعني لبيت المال في

قوتي ومن مال الجهات بسي

قوتي ومن مال الجهات بسي

My lord, return me to the treasury for

My Master, return me to the treasury's abode

my sustenance—and I have had enough of the departments’ funds.

In my livelihood and from the funds of the authorities, it suffices me

ما دامَ معلومِي بدار ضربها

ما دامَ معلومِي بدار ضربها

فبعد دار الضَّرب دار الحبس

فبعد دار الضَّرب دار الحبس

As long as my stipend remains at their mint,

As long as my expenses in the house of minting are known

then after the house of striking comes the house of imprisonment.
