سيِّدي عشْ أبداً في أنعمٍ

سيِّدي عشْ أبداً في أنعمٍ

أنا منها في حمى عيشٍ نضير

أنا منها في حمى عيشٍ نضير

My lord, live forever amid blessings.

My master, live forever in prosperity

Through them, I dwell in the shelter of a flourishing life.

While I live in the fever of a parallel life

لست يا ابن اليأس ممَّا أرْتجي

لست يا ابن اليأس ممَّا أرْتجي

بعد ما قربتني يا ابن الخضير

بعد ما قربتني يا ابن الخضير

O son, I do not despair of what I hope for,

I am not, O son of despair, of those who fear

after you drew me close, O son of al-Khuḍayr.

After you brought me close, O son of al-Khadhir
