مضى منجح ثم اقتضى الحال بعده

مضى منجح ثم اقتضى الحال بعده

سواه قريب المثلِ للقصد ينتحي

سواه قريب المثلِ للقصد ينتحي

Munjih departed; then circumstances called, after him,

Time has passed and then circumstances required

for another, closely resembling him, who makes for the goal.

Another like him, close in qualities, for the purpose at hand

له عاذرٌ من نفسه باجتهاده

له عاذرٌ من نفسه باجتهاده

ومبلغ نفسٍ عذرها مثل منجح

ومبلغ نفسٍ عذرها مثل منجح

His own self excuses him on account of his striving,

He has within himself an excuse for his diligence

and one who earns his soul an excuse is like Munjih.

And a soul's attainment is its own excuse, like Manjach
