فداك من الأسواء كل مؤمَّل

فداك من الأسواء كل مؤمَّل

ملأت يديه النوال وعينه

ملأت يديه النوال وعينه

May every man in whom hope is placed ransom you from misfortune,

For you I wish protection from all misfortunes

Whose two hands and eye you have filled with bounty,

His hands you have filled with gifts and his eyes with hope

وذي فكرٍ أودعتها مبدع الثنا

وذي فكرٍ أودعتها مبدع الثنا

ولو لم يكن فيك الثنا ما وعينه

ولو لم يكن فيك الثنا ما وعينه

And every thinker in whose thoughts you have placed wondrous praise;

With thoughts placed by the creator of praise

Had praise not been in you, those thoughts would not have retained it.

And if there were no praise in you, his eyes would not have hoped
