قد سرّت الأمة والدين إذ

قد سرّت الأمة والدين إذ

قالوا أتى السلطان نجلٌ كريم

قالوا أتى السلطان نجلٌ كريم

Indeed, the community and the faith were gladdened when

They said, “A noble son has come to the sultan.”

فبشِّروها بمليك رضاً

فبشِّروها بمليك رضاً

وبشِّروه بغلام حليم

وبشِّروه بغلام حليم

So give her glad tidings of a pleasing king,

And give him glad tidings of a forbearing boy.
