  1. بعثت به واثقاً أن لي

    شفاعة ذي أمل نافع

    I sent him, confident that I had

    the intercession of one both hopeful and helpful;

  2. ولا شيء أحسن من مالك

    تجود يداه على شافع

    and nothing is finer than a master

    whose hands give generously to an intercessor.
