علقته ساجي اللواحظ أهيفا

وبليَّتي ساجي اللواحظ أهيف

وبليَّتي ساجي اللواحظ أهيف

I loved him, languid-eyed and slender.

My eyes are captivated by his charming gaze,

And my affliction is that languid-eyed, slender one.

And my afflicted heart is in agony for his sake.

قلبي الجريح مشبَّبٌ بصفاته

قلبي الجريح مشبَّبٌ بصفاته

في الحسنِ وهو على الجريح يذفف

في الحسنِ وهو على الجريح يذفف

My wounded heart is kindled by his qualities

My wounded heart is bandaged with his attributes,

Of beauty, while he deals the wounded a finishing blow.

Of beauty, as he pours out on the wounded.
