    هيَ للعفاةِ سحائب

    I complain to your bounties, which

    are clouds for those who seek aid,

  2. حالِي التي يرثِي العدوُّ

    لها فكيفَ الصاحب

    of my plight, which moves even an enemy

    to pity—how much more, then, a friend?
