وحقّك ما أخرت عنك لجفوةٍ

By your honor, I did not delay coming to you out of coldness,

By your truth I have not abandoned you out of aloofness

but because of mud from pouring rain.

But because of mud sliding down from serpentine life

أعيد به شخصي لأول خلقِهِ

أعيد به شخصي لأول خلقِهِ

فها أنا من طين وماء مصور

فها أنا من طين وماء مصور

Through it, my body was returned to the state of its first creation;

I recreate my being to its original creation

so here I am, fashioned from clay and water.
