The eyes of wide-eyed beauties from Mudar gazed toward us,
The gazelles of the valley looked at us from Mudhar,
so the archers of Thu'al made us their target.
So the archers of arrows targeted us from Thu'al.

So we feared the decline of the dynasty.

With my soul, the flock of birds nesting
my heart—the crescent among the stars of Dhuhl's clan.
In my heart forms a crescent of shining stars in confusion.

By Allah, I have not forgotten the visit of Zawra,
while night veiled the sun's eye with kohl.
And the night seduced the eye of the sun with kohl.

Thanks for your kindness: from rain that poured, there appeared
Thanks for your making from a sprinkling rain,
a garden of silk on bodies and before the eyes.
The meadow of silk appeared on bodies and eyelids.

هُنّيتَmay you be congratulated ياO سيّدَlord of الأيّامِthe days والأزَلِand eternity
هُنّيتَ يا سيّدَ الأيّامِ والأزَلِ
It is glory enough for the feast that on it one says,
The feast's pride suffices that it be said about it,
“Congratulations to you, O lord of days and eternity!”
"You have delighted, O master of days and eternity."

The feast returns each year for a lifetime of one day,
The feast is one day whose return is a year,
but you have ever been a feast throughout all days.
While you are a feast for all days without end.

You are called the Feast of Generosity and Lavishness.

In a perfect crescent with the light of grace fulfilled.

بالحُسن تَسمو جمال السّبعةِ الأُوَلِ
And behold her unveiled, freeborn in diction, peerless,
And seek it as the elation of expressions together
surpassing in beauty the loveliness of the seven of old.
In beauty transcending the beauty of the first seven.

You have not ceased at the peak of honor, raised,
trailing the train of high honors from atop Saturn.
Dragging the train of glories from Jupiter.
