يقول ماذا ترى وفي يدهِ

مرآتهُ وهو ناظرٌ فيها

مرآتهُ وهو ناظرٌ فيها

He says, 'What do you see?' And in his hand

He asks, "What do you see?" and in his hand

is his mirror, while he looks into it.

Is a mirror in which he looks

قلتُ أرى بدراً في السماء وقـ

ـد أفاض نوراً على نواحيها

ـد أفاض نوراً على نواحيها

I said, 'I see a full moon in the sky, and

I said, "I see a full moon in the sky

it has poured light over its reaches.'

That has poured light over its surroundings."
