أبا حسن أنت الذي فاق مجده

أبا حسن أنت الذي فاق مجده

ومن فوق أيديهم غدا نقطة الفاء

ومن فوق أيديهم غدا نقطة الفاء

O Abā Ḥasan, you are he whose glory rose supreme—

O Abū Ḥasan, you are he whose glory has surpassed all glory,

O Abu Hasan, you are the one whose glory excelled,

and, above their hands, became the dot of the fāʾ.

and who, above their hands, became the dot of the fāʾ;

And who, above their hands, became the dot of fāʾ.

تواضعت لاسم الله جل جلاله

تواضعت لاسم الله جل جلاله

فصرت له يا عينه نقطة الباء

فصرت له يا عينه نقطة الباء

You humbled yourself before the name of God—exalted is His majesty—

you humbled yourself before the name of God — exalted be His majesty —

You humbled yourself before God's name—exalted be His majesty—

and so became, for Him, O His eye, the dot of the bāʾ.

and so, O Eye of God, you became for it the dot of the bāʾ.

So you became for Him, O His eye, the dot of bāʾ.
