منwhoever يفعلdoes الحسناتِgood deeds اللهُGod يشكرهاrewards them
من يفعل الحسناتِ اللهُ يشكرها
والشرُّand evil بالشرِّwith evil عندin the sight of اللهGod مثلانtwo equals
والشرُّ بالشرِّ عند الله مثلان
Whoever does good deeds—God rewards him for them;
Whoever does good deeds, God rewards them.
and evil repaid with evil—in God’s sight, the two are equal.
And evil is repaid with equal evil in God's sight.
