From the purity of hearts a well-fortified stronghold.
From the purity of hearts an impregnable fortress

Raise the banner of doctrine until
You may see the dawn smiling, clear to behold.
You see the dawn laughing unambiguous

Grant you what you seek without action.
Without action, attaining what you wish from us

Through our disputes in sorrow and tribulations.
With our disputes, misery and discord

My nation, when it extends
Toward us, desires nothing but certainty.
Its hands toward us, wants only certainty

Its ultimate aim, as it calls,
For it, the matter's end, while calling
Is that its glories should see us standing firm.
Is to see us as its towering glories

My nation built fortresses and hopes
That we will ward its enemies away and protect it.
That we will ward off hostility from it and protect it

Between my people and the path to lofty heights lies
Between my people and the path to glory
A thread of illusion—if they crossed it, we would be spared.
A thread of illusion, if they pass it, we would suffice

O fortresses of glories, receive good tidings, for
Have stretched our right hand toward the morning.
We have extended our hands to the morning
